Islamic socialism is a term coined by various Muslim leaders to meet the demand for a more spiritual form of socialism. Muslim socialists believe that the teachings of the Qur’an and Muhammad are compatible with principles of equality and the redistribution of wealth. But some orthodox Islamic scholars declare various socialist practices, such as the confiscation of private property, to be oppressive and against Islamic teachings….
Code Pink…Socialism…Muslim Brotherhood? Why would protesting men in the Arab world wear PINK?
Two of the most vociferous organizations supported by George Soros are A.N.S.W.E.R. (Act Now to Stop War and End Racism) and Code Pink. Both of these groups are in the forefront of the anti-conservative activities and activities to take away our Constitutional rights.

Dear CODEPINKer,
This morning we stood as close as we could to the US Embassy in Cairo and unfurled a banner demanding that the US government cut off military aid to the criminal Mubarak regime. Despite State Dept orders that US citizens leave, and though our sleep was disturbed by gunshots throughout the night, our CODEPINK delegation will stay here to demonstrate in solidarity with the Egyptians on Friday.
People around the US are asking, what can we do that will make a difference? How can we send a signal that the world is watching, the world is with the people of Egypt? We’ve signed petitions and tweeted our eyeballs out. Now what?

We have met with dozens of women and groups in Cairo and these women and our CODEPINK delegation on the ground in Egypt are asking this:
The next major demonstration has been called for this Friday after prayers. People are desperate for it to be a peaceful mobilization. They have a plan to deliver hundreds of flowers to demonstrators, wounded protesters, and to the gun barrels of the Army’s tanks during the next big uprising on Friday after prayers.
Will you donate $5 today to help buy flowers? This is one way we around the world can support the nonviolent people’s uprising. Anything you donate over $5 will be used to buy blankets, food and medicines for the protesters in the streets.
Acclaimed Egyptian novelist Ahdaf Soueif sent us this message to share with you all:”Something wonderful is being born here: an inclusive, grassroots, democratic movement which is – even in this time of extreme crisis – enacting ideals of non-violence, creativity, courtesy, public service… what can I say? This revolution is not just Egyptian; it belongs to everyone in the world who believes in the possibility of a better way for us all to live together.” Join us in creating a beautiful stand for solidarity with the brave women and men on the streets of Egypt!
Beyond solidarity, the best way we can show our support for the Egyptian uprising is to demand that our own government cut off aid to the Mubarak regime. Join us in telling President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the U.S. Congress to stop funding the Mubarak regime now, to call on Mubarak to resign, and to expressly say that our government stands with the Egyptian people.
The Egyptian people are writing a beautiful chapter in the history of nonviolent revolutions. Let’s show them we are on their side.

Jodie Evans and Code Pink were joined in Egypt on this visit by other friends of Obama, including his Hyde Park, Chicago neighbors, former Weather Underground terrorists Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn.
Code Pink was co-founded by Jodie Evans, a top donor and fundraiser for President Barack Obama. Jodie Evans has maintained close ties with Obama and his administration throughout the first year of Obama’s term in office,including two visits to the White House in June just days after a previous Code Pink trip to Gaza where they were given a letter from Hamas to deliver to Obama.
